Sägewerk Greiler: inquiry basket
For the Greiler sawmill we built a website with a product catalogue and an inquiry basket. Customers add pine-wood products to the basket as in a shop and send it as a request – both sides get an overview as a PDF.
Challenge
A family sawmill with Swiss pine and larch timber and its own pine-wood products. A full online shop with payment and shipping would have been too much – but customers should be able to request several products at once.
Solution
- Product catalogue with prices and images, maintained in the CMS
- Inquiry basket like in a shop: add products, change quantities, send the request
- PDF overview of all requested products attached to the email – to the customer as confirmation, to the sawmill as the order
- Video hero of the sawmill and a banner for Nockholz
Result
Customers request several products in one step, and every request reaches the sawmill complete and easy to read – without a shop system to maintain.
Technology
Next.js 13 with Strapi 4 as CMS, React Query, Tailwind CSS, PDFs with React PDF, email via Resend (since 2026).
